Samson CL8a is a large-diaphragm, multi-pattern condenser microphone with dual 1.1 inch gold-sputtered diaphragms. It offers omnidirectional, cardioid, and bidirectional pickup patterns, a 20 Hz–20 kHz response, and a switchable 100 Hz high-pass filter. A 10 dB pad accommodates high SPL up to 147 dB. The rugged die-cast body includes an internal shock mount; it requires 36–52 V phantom power and provides a 3-pin XLR output, with a mic swivel included.
