The Barix X8 is an I/O to RS-485 Modbus/RTU converter for commercial interfacing, control, and home automation applications. It provides eight configurable I/O channels with internal 10 kOhm pull-ups and supports two-wire RS-485 communication at 9,600 or 19,200 baud with configurable parity. The unit operates from 12 to 24 VAC or 9 to 30 VDC, consumes up to 1 W, and includes power, activity, and status indicators.
