The Yamaha AD8HR is a remotely controllable 8-channel microphone preamp and 24-bit/96-kHz AD converter designed for professional audio applications. It features microphone preamplifier technology inherited from the PM5000 analog console, delivering exceptional sound quality with total harmonic distortion of less than 0.01% (20Hz-40kHz). Each channel offers 1 dB step gain control, high-pass filtering with remotely adjustable cutoff frequency, and switchable phantom power. The unit provides dual AES/EBU digital outputs (2 x 8 channels) via D-Sub connectors, enabling separate signal paths for FOH and monitoring/recording. With compact 1U dimensions (480x45x383.5mm) and the ability to daisy-chain up to 255 units, the AD8HR serves as an ideal remote stage box solution for integration with Yamaha digital consoles.
