The BPU-4500 is a 4K/HD baseband processor unit featuring standard IP interfaces for live production over IP networks. It enables 4K/HD XAVC workflows in tandem with the PWS-4500 server, supporting signal routing from 4K cameras including the HDC-4300 and PMW-F55 paired with CA-4000. The unit provides simultaneous 4K/HD output with ITU-R BT.2020 color support, native integration with Sony HD camera systems (Genlock, tally, intercom), and long-haul fiber transmission up to 2,000 meters (5,000 meters with mono-mode fiber solution). Optional features include high frame rate processing (4K 100/120p) via SZC-4002 software and real-time HD cropping from 4K sources using SZC-2001. It maintains compatibility with existing SDI infrastructure while outputting IP signals, operating within a 5°C to 40°C temperature range.
