The Neumann KM 120 is a miniature condenser microphone forming part of the KM 100 series. It combines the KM 100 output stage with the figure-8 AK 20 capsule. This modular small diaphragm microphone system features transformerless circuitry and operates on 48V phantom power. With dimensions of 110 mm length and 22 mm diameter, it's designed for discreet placement on-stage, with cameras, or suspended in concert halls. The KM 120 delivers a side-fire figure-8 polar pattern with frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It features extremely low self-noise (17.5 dB-A) and can handle sound pressure levels up to 150 dB with preattenuation engaged.
