The Manley Voxbox® Reference Channel Strip integrates a microphone preamplifier, passive inductor-based EQ, optical compressor, and de-esser/limiter in a single all-tube signal path. The preamp provides 60 dB gain with 2000 ohm input impedance, frequency response of 10 Hz to 85 kHz, and THD+N of 0.008% at 1 kHz. The Pultec-style EQ employs genuine inductors with Class A tube amplification. The electro-optical compressor offers 3:1 ratio with variable attack (4-70 ms) and release times (0.3-5 sec), while the limiter provides 10:1 ratio. Hand-assembled in California, the unit features universal power supply (90-254 VAC) and measures 48.26 x 13.34 x 25.4 cm.
