The Open DMX USB is a basic USB-to-DMX interface for controlling lighting systems from a computer. It features a USB Type-B connection and a 5-pin female XLR DMX output connector. The unit supports transmission of one universe (512 channels) of USITT DMX512-A protocol data. Constructed with folded aluminum housing for durability, it draws 5V DC power via USB (300mA). With cross-platform compatibility for Windows, macOS, and Linux through FTDI drivers, it's suitable for small-scale lighting projects, installations, and amateur theater applications.
